This was and is a big one for me.

Having a good work ethic is all about ourselves and nothing to do with anyone else. No one can create it for us other than ourselves. It takes, time, effort and discipline.

The reason I say it is a big one for me is because I feel I am on a constant quest to improve myself….and I need to !

For those of us who are self employed, working for ourselves, it is absolutely crucial we have a good work ethic. Anything else will spell disaster for our businesses.

However, I do believe it can be easier to have a good work ethic if working as an employee.

Don’t get me wrong, a bad work ethic as an employee will soon see us reprimanded, overlooked for promotions and rises and even replaced in the long term. However, because we would be working within a company’s structure, to their rules with a manager or owner holding us to account, it is easier to focus on our work and produce results.
