How I write more articles when my motivational juices are waning

Let me tell you, it involves a lot of coffee.

Ok, how many of you out there are beginning to wonder if this writing lark is all it's cracked up to be? Come on, own up.

Let me tell you a little secret. I am only 3 and a half months in myself. I started off with all great intentions of publishing an article a day and racing to the top of the income charts in record time. Haha, fat chance of that. We all know what really happens. We all know it is a long haul but do we listen to our sensible self? No, of course not. We all secretly wish for that viral article that earns us $1000 in one hit, don’t we? (shhh, whisper to me quietly, you did too didn’t you?)

My miserable story

Well, I fired off a couple of articles in the beginning and watched the stats and waited for some action. Once the obvious happened, you can guess, I started to slip and my output fell dramatically to the point where I only published 2 articles in July, 1 in August, and none at all in September.

Decision time

So, what to do? Either quit or pull myself together and understand why I wanted to write in the first place. Also, I gave myself a schedule and a few incentives to get the work done.
