How to come up with ideas to write about when you are completely stuck
Don’t sit and think. Go out and experience.
I have started a bit of routine which, although I don’t stick to religiously I am trying to make it a bit of a habit.
I am talking about going for a walk first thing in the morning before I do anything else. I initially started this to get a little exercise and wake myself up so I could crack on with my work with a positive attitude. However, there was another additional benefit I didn’t expect. Namely, I started to have ideas around what I could write about.
So here we are, a few pointers which are so far helping me to come up with an abundance of ideas.
Before we start though, I want to make one thing very clear. If you are one of those people who always have to have earpods or headphones in place whenever you venture out just stop it!!! Please leave these at home because it will allow your mind to be free and open to what is going on around you.
Go for a walk
Yes, walking is better than cycling or jogging. The reason is you have very little to worry about with regard to things like traffic on the road or getting tired etc.
