I believe it is important to be aware of our objectives as writers here on Medium.

If we are here just to make money and nothing else then of course, the rules need to be followed. However, if we just want to get our thoughts and stories out there for whoever may be interested then just carry on regardless.

In any case, we should all be adding value without the need for compensation. Things have a funny way of working out and if we do that on a consistent basis guess what, compensation will come anyway.
