Lockdown — Disaster or Opportunity?

How to make the best of a challenging situation…..

Who knew, once the Christmas decorations had come down and the New Year had been rung in, we would be staring down the barrel of a global pandemic and a national lockdown.

Suddenly we were faced with the shutdown of everything not deemed essential and for most to a larger or lesser degree that meant immediate uncertainty not only around our health and the precautions we were now being told we need to take but also our incomes.

So, what do we do? Do we…..

• Do nothing, wait for it to all end and hope for the best?
• Talk to friends, relatives and whoever is willing to listen about how unfair it all is and still basically do nothing?
• Take on other subscriptions like Netflix and work your way through as many box sets as you possibly can and still basically do nothing costing yourself more money, making the situation even worse?
• See it as an opportunity to do something new or even change course in your life (the word “pivot” has been used a lot recently)?
